Use the search bar in the top left corner to find your specific address.
Step 2: Zoom in
Zoom in on your house until you can clearly see the roof. You will see a + symbol on the bottom right of the page. Click this and adjust the screen until you have a good large view of the roof of your house.
Step 3: Activate the ruler tool
Look for the "Ruler" tool. Click on “Tools” in the menu and select “Measurement”. Click on it to activate.
Step 4: Measure the length and width
Starting on one corner, click on each corner of the house that contains the flat portion of the roof that needs to be coated. Note: You may have more than 4 corners if you have portions of your roof that project out, etc.
Step 5: Retrieve your square footage
Once you are done with all corners, you will see the Area displayed in the top right corner of your page. Make sure you are displaying in Square feet. If not, you can click to the right of the “Area” field and change to Square Feet.
This is the estimated square feet of the roof for determining your estimate. In the example, the roof is 2,989 Square Feet.
